A great dinner last week for our annual Christmas celebration with Poonam Gupta OBE of PG Paper Company speaking of her move from India to Scotland marrying a Scot/Irish husband and travelling the world while breast feeding to run her enourmous paper company with a baby in tow.
Poonam is an advocate for always asking for everything you need and not being afraid to put the questions “out there” to get what you need to grow a successful busines. Some of our members brought along gifts for Christmas and so we lost half the group for the annual photo!
Members raised £176 for the NSPCC Scotland as well as buying a number of gifts for themselves and their friends and family for Christmas. Thanks to the committee of BAWE Scotland for surprising me, Ann-Maree, with a lovely Lily Blanche memory keeper locket with the family photos inside, as a thank you for my work on BAWE Scotland over 4.5 years to date.
Totally unexpected and emotional after a big year of contemplation for me, and I’m sure for others too. We are thoroughly looking forward to the BAWE UK London luncheon this week also. Thank you to all members and attendees and speakers over 2018. Onwards and upwards for 2019. Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and New Year break. More photos will be added in our gallery section soon.
